Membrane
Membrane is a skin-like surface that responds to touch, emulating the sensation of peering into the ribcage of an organism.

2024
Generative video of guts, bones, and flesh is rear-projected onto a 60” x 36” natural rubber latex membrane, emerging in response to touch.

Membrane becomes that lean tissue of intimacy that exists between a machine and a human and asks the question: when does a machine become too human? It attempts to evoke the unease felt when a machine behaves almost—but not quite—like an organism.
