Naamyaati Machine
Naamyaati is an urdu word that means “organic matter”. A machine that acts as a technological mediator between organic systems (nature) and machines.

The installation explores the evolving dialogue between human gesture, organic form, and machine logic. It questions what it means to “know” nature—not as an untouched or sacred entity, but as something we shape and are shaped by, especially in a world increasingly defined by screens, networks, and code.

At its core, the piece is activated by hand gestures. As the participant moves their hand across a sensing field, a real-time generative system translates their movement into sound and organic visual forms. The output is not literal but visceral—abstract, evolving, fleshy projections that feel bodily, even internal. The work draws from anatomical structures, human tissue, and organic growth to create a progressive transformation—what begins as something subtle and bodily becomes complex, unstable, and hybrid with time.
