SHOZAB RAZA

Born in Sialkot in 1997, he spent his formative years in Lahore, Pakistan. He earned a BFA with distinction from the National College of Arts in Pakistan in 2020. He joined BIG Immersive as a concept artist, where he designed NFT-based artwork on Virtua for Legendary Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and Universal Music. Simultaneously, he acquired contracts from Coca-Cola, Pepsi, KFC, Gloria Jeans, and numerous others as a muralist and installation artist.

Currently, he is a graduate student pursuing Dynamic Media at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, also specializing in Interaction Design for live performance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, he works as a designer for SharkNinja.

His work has been exhibited at several venues, including Boston Cyberarts, Massart x SoWa, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Godine Family Gallery. His first solo show, 'Material Nature,' was displayed at the Godine Family Gallery in October 2023. His most recent collaboration with Rihards Kolmanis and Shalun Li (Enso Resonance) was performed at the New England Conservatory.

Shozab Raza develops interactive surfaces, objects, and immersive experiences to explore the intimate and interdependent relationship between organic matter (humans) and synthetic matter (machines) in the contemporary landscape.
