DMI Thesis Defense 2024
I’d be honored to have you at my thesis defense, where I’ll showcase my two years of work at MassArt in the Dynamic Media Institute MFA program and present my book, “Low Resolution Beings.”
During the event, each thesis candidate will present their case studies, followed by a defense session with our esteemed guest critics, including Alison Kotin, Dan Vlahos, Brooke Scibelli, and Diana Barros.
The doors will open at 8:30AM
We will be serving coffee and light breakfast refreshments.

DMI Fresh Media 2024: Technotanicals
Fresh Media '24 is a showcase of diverse range of art pieces, encompassing audio-visual experiences, digital/mechanical devices, augmented reality, video games, projection mapping, and educational tools. This annual exhibition is organized by students and highlights the work of MFA candidates from the Dynamic Media Institute (DMI) at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
The practices of DMI students are grounded in research, leading to projects aligned with their chosen conceptual areas of focus. Within this showcase, a diverse collective of educators, developers, designers, and artists explores a spectrum of work encompassing both analog and digital mediums. This exploration bridges the gap between traditional artistic practices like drawing and painting and the realm of interactive technology, which includes microcontrollers, digital displays, projectors, microphones, video cameras, augmented reality, sensors, and various computer platforms.

Enso Resonance Team at Burns Hall, New England Conservatory, 2023
Enso Resonance at Brookline Public Library, Hunneman Hall
This collaborative performance features Shalun Li, a pianist, and Rihards Kolmanis, a composer and musician, both from The New England Conservatory. Enso Resonance debuted at The New England Conservatory's Burns Hall in October 2023.
Shozab Raza is credited with designing the sound-reactive dynamic visualization and performs it live alongside the musicians.
